Day 195 – We’re so valentine.

I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day! I mean, really? How could you NOT have a great one with that WHOLE TEN LINDENS that LL gave us if we had logged in yesterday before 7:30pm SLT? I, of course, spent part of mine wisely and got this dollarbie tree and this hearts headband. $2L, y’all! Woooo!

Ulaa came to sit with my on my cow since we’re still homeless. But I guess she got tired of the cow because she said she was going to go finish our new house because it’s all kinds of sad over on our parcel.

So no worries, y’all. This might be the last cow pic for a while!

I have something to actually discuss later but it’s late and I have to get up early.

Day 10 – Out of my jeans

I’m a jeans and t-shirts/sweaters girl. In the physical world, if I am not in my beloved stretchy yoga or pajama pants [which is often], I’m in jeans. And that is my normal style in SL. I just throw on one of 3 brands of jeans [Zaara, Mon Tissu or fri.day] and some top and that’s me for the day. But tonight I thought I’d dress up a little bit. I even put on a dress!

Yeah, then I curled up on the couch after hitting up the Olive Juice closing sale. Baby steps.

Last night I was talking to the husband about how we [and by we, I mean us and most of our friends] never do anything because pretty much all of us have homes that we are settled into, and going OUT is unnecessary a lot of the time. He looked up Sanctuary Rock on the map, since that place is OLD and somehow always has people, and we took off over there to see what the people of SL are doing these days.

They pretty much look like you expect.

I really gotta say, I’m tired of men in SL walking around bare chested or with open shirts almost all of the time. Yeah. You have a chest. It was painted by Tricky Boucher half the time. I’ve seen it. Cover up. But that’s just me, I guess, because in both lives, I’m a little grossed out when someone shows too much skin constantly. If you show it ALL THE TIME, then it’s not SPECIAL. :-p But that’s a post for another day!

Sanctuary Rock was…not bouncing. The music was not very good, the hostess [a neko, naturally] did nothing more than welcome people and then didn’t talk. No one really talked. They could have passed as bots if not for the harsh “Haters can suck it, I hate people, I’ve been hurt before so now I’m a BITCH” profiles that we’ve all seen before. Seriously? That kind of profile does not make you seem amazing. It makes you seem like a high school loser with no real social skills and does NOT make people want to say hi to you!

We left there after dancing a bit and found ourselves on some gerontology island. It was… well, it was old, and there were lots of bots around but they were more of the NPC variety and some of them talked if you asked questions. The best part was that you could get a bike to ride, and we got to find some info on AARP for Al.

He’s going to hit me. :-p

It’s getting late and I’m getting tired, so I guess I’m off to bed.

Everyone left me alone tonight!!! I was the saddest girl in the world again!

Aldwyn told me a while ago when I was whining that I should get a girlfriend to occupy my time when he wasn’t around. I don’t know if he meant it in the “Yeah baby! Girl on girl action!” way or the “Yeah….baby? Get some girl friends please because sometimes I need a break.” You just never know sometimes!!

But, I took his advice and being an overachiever, I got two.

Pumpkin and Ulaa came over to keep me company and then we spent the rest of the evening … doing stuff. WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE.

[Well, if wink wink nudge nudge means being assholes on skype and laughing about nothing, because that’s exactly what we did.]

But it’s 4:30am, so it’s definitely bedtime.

Get Your Sexy On!

So hey! Guess what? You can get your freak on with some free SexGen! What’s funny to me is that there are some people in SL who honestly don’t know what SexGen is. I mean, let’s face it. There are some better animations out there these days. I’ve used SexGen before, of course, but the animations never really fit me. I dunno what the avatar sizes are supposed to be to use it properly, but either I was too small or the guys I’ve been with have been too big [hee!] and it’s never fit properly. Nothing like cuddles where his hand should be on your butt and yet is a foot away from your body!

But anyway, at one point, SexGen was king of the sexytimes. But I guess Stroker is leaving SL or something [there was some weirdness on his Twitter a few days ago] and now? He’s giving away his SexGen program thingy for free! With full permissions! For everyone!

Ulaa and I skipped on over there to see what was up, making jokes that now we have ALL THE THINGS and we are going to make everything sexy! Sexytimes House! Sexytimes Garden Shed! Sexytimes Window Boxes!

Of course, based on the others we saw there picking up the thingy, sexy truly is relative in Second Life.

The funniest thing happened right before we left for the night. This … demon? type guy showed up. She simply couldn’t resist messing around with him for a few minutes before we logged. He says his RL self is just like his avatar – INSIDE. Oh.

Mmmm….melatonin kicking in…. gonna go to….zzzzzzzzzzz…..

I’ll give you the red light special

Yesterday, Ulaa kept telling me “I look like a high priced whore!” I figured she was probably right, since she usually does. :-p But then she came over to drop off wedding benches and her boobs were HUGE! HUGE!!!! She tends to go for a much more voluptuous look than I do, but she was wearing a corset that made me not be able to stop looking at her boobs. I guess that’s the intention, huh?

Anyway, she told me she had bought a pose prop from oOo and I should take some pics in it. I like pose props a LOT and this one was pretty good. Al and I got the first pic on it.

I really like the way the lighting came out in it. And let me tell you – if you’re not in a good mesh compatible viewer yet, you are MISSING OUT. I’m wearing the mesh boots and shorts that I blogged in yesterday over in the style blog, and they just moved beautifully with most of the poses. I wish I could say all of the poses but even mesh has its limits.

Later, I got a picture of Ulaa and me. I’m the dark haired one. There seemed to be some confusion on that last night. LOL

And then while she was AFK, I caught one more of her. I like the way it came out, but pictures are really way easier if the person you’re taking a photo of is pretty.

Okay, breakfast time. I just thought you guys would like a post NOT about the wedding for once. 😉 Oh, and because it’s been in my head since last night…

Tired today

I’m really tired today. I keep getting asked what is for dinner but man, I just don’t have the energy to cook. Not to mention it’s flippin’ hot in my neck of the woods, for all that I’m having to wear a sweater in the house because the AC is freezing me so badly, the arthritis in my left fingers has me holding my fingers in pain. Typing isn’t easy but I know I can’t just stay still or it will get worse. But mostly, I’m just tired and I need quiet for a bit.

My Aldwyn came home yesterday and I spent the first half hour we were together just talking his ear off about this and that. I’m lucky that he’s a good listener and he seems to like to hear me babble on about nothing. Once I finished telling him about the past few days, and he finished telling me about his trip, we discussed my ideas for the wedding while having a region message war with Ulaa. She and Al are my only estate managers [besides my 2 alts, Aidan & Piper]. I was *this* close to making it flood on the island, but since most people were up in the air, it wouldn’t have been very good.

I have a lot of ideas of how I’m going to terraform for the wedding, but I won’t know how it’s actually going to turn out until I can do it. It’s times like these I wish I had a spare sim for a couple of hours just so I can work a bit. Maybe if I ever win the lottery, I’ll buy another sim. :-p

Maybe I need to make a wedding To-Do list. Although the first thing we really need to do is set a date! That would probably be quite helpful!

I was in a mood tonight. Just a mood to have some fun, do something silly. So I did what any good sim owner would do.

I flooded the sim.

Aldwyn had to put up with me laughing and laughing in his ear as I ran around without an AO, screaming “Save the meeroos! Oh no! Water damage in my house! What will we doooo???”

To his credit, he didn’t tell me to shut up. And even more to his credit, he pulled out his coast guard boat and we sailed around after I raised the water even more.

I love a man who can play with me when I’m being completely stupid. 🙂

I’ve been trying to give more of my attention to him this week when we are in SL together. Not that he asked me to or anything like that, but I wanted to do it for me mostly. There have been so many times in the past year when we simply haven’t gotten to be together. The more I started to think about the wedding, the more I realized that we haven’t had the most normal of SL relationships. Maybe that’s why it works so well? 🙂 But there haven’t been all the nights of slow dancing, or going to parties together, or posing for lots of photos, or things that most couples do. We get busy with other things and other friends and so sometimes there hasn’t been time for more than wishing each other goodnight. It’s definitely nobody’s fault, it’s just how we have been. 🙂 So this week, while we both have some free time, I’ve been devoting that time to him. I certainly hope no one thinks that I’m ignoring them!

So the wedding. Oh yes, I have been thinking about it. We talked about it for a while the other night. I want to have it on Bluebonnet so I can spare anyone my Bridezilla wrath and design the venue and do all the terraforming and stuff like that. Al is really awesome and he says whatever I want that will make me happy is what he wants, although I did tell him if he had ideas, he should tell me. [Of course, then he suggested an underwater wedding or one with a tardis and I almost called the whole thing off.] I’m thinking we’re going to do this in September. I really don’t want to push it out much further than that, but it’s going to depend on RL commitments, how quickly I’m satisfied with the wedding venue, and when my dress will be completed.

Thinking about wedding stuff makes me a bit giddy. 🙂

I’m planning an Old SLchool party in the next couple of weeks. Tacky is the word for what I have planned, but I think everyone is going to love it. Especially since when I brought it up on plurk, folks went nuts for the idea. 🙂 Most of us no longer go to clubs in SL. At least, not like the way we used to as newbies – going to “Best In…” contests to attempt to win some money to fund the next contest outift, hoping that no one would start TPing in all their friends to vote for them at the last minute, putting your last $10L into the sploder in hopes that you win something back. I’ve already started putting together the party area. I think the structure is appropriately old school just on its own, but it will look better by the time I’m done with it.

I’m really rambling and it’s 4am. It’s time for bed.

Another Regular Night: Bubble Blower

So we were just hanging out at Aldwyn’s place tonight, chillin’ and chattin’. I was blowing bubbles with my gum because hey, who doesn’t like bubble gum, am I right?
