Biscuit!

I had told myself I would never ever get involved with another breedable in SL again after the whole cat thing. I didn’t need the hassle or to feel like I couldn’t express an opinion about it again, you know? But the Meeroos started to interest me. I knew they were cute. I knew some of my friends were taking more of an interest in logging into SL than they had done in a while. I’d heard tales of big shot creators dropping their work and running just because the Meeroo wanted a cuddle. I started to think more about getting one, especially since I don’t have much else to do in SL at the moment.

Then it happened. Sophia gave me a meeroo. She instructed me to go get a home and some food for the little creature. The food is pretty dirt cheap [$225L for a 4 week supply for 1 meeroo], and the home was only $250L. I figure if I grow bored of it, I pass the meeroo back to Sophia and all I’m really out is about the cost of a pair of plain shoes. Not a bad deal.

But oh! I wasn’t prepared for the CUTENESS.

I rezzed her out and she promptly curled up for a little nap. I gained a regard point on the HUD thing when the Oracle asked me a trivia question [gah! cuteness AND trivia! how can i resist?!], and Sophia helped me learn how to set the range and activity level for Biscuit. Her name was Sammy when she came to me, but I renamed her Biscuit in honor of my RL bestie.

I’m freakin’ in love with this thing right now. I picked her up and she grabbed her toes! After I put her back down and she woke up, she made the cutest little noises ever!! I watched her just gallop around while I sat and waited for more trivia questions from the Oracle.

Seriously, I cannot believe how SWEET these things are. Just as precious as can be!! I do not plan to breed Biscuit because A, I’d like to think that I have the ability to learn a lesson, and B, I really just want a pet to play with, but you never know what could happen. I don’t think I’ll breed her, though. She can stay virgin pure.

Thank goodness I got this. I was *this* close to thinking about adopting a kid avatar.

Oh, and I totally knocked my inventory count down tonight. No more 80k for me! I’m riding pretty at 74,900 and I realized I attach way too many memories and stuff to virtual goods.

Well, and I seem to be a packrat who forgets that in her inventory lies the dumbest things the grid has to offer. But hey, we all have our faults, am I right?

I’m sitting here killing time before I head off to zumba tonight, so I thought I’d blog some stuff. Aren’t you happy?! LOL

As everyone knows, I have a residential island. I normally just rent parcels to my friends because it’s easier that way. But, the last time I blogged that I had an open parcel, it turned out awesome because I got Lolita as a renter, and I didn’t know her before that. 🙂 So hey, why not try it again? I have an open parcel! It’s 7936sqm and has 1816 prims. The island is fairly quiet, we change terrains for the seasons, and the neighbors are amazing! It is residential only, but I don’t mind if you keep your Marketplace boxes there. Breedables are allowed as long as it doesn’t get out of control and lags up the sim. 🙂 You have terraforming rights for your parcel, and you manage your own access list. If there’s someone you really hate, hey, let me know and I’ll simwide ban. LOL

Whew, now that all that business stuff is out of the way…

I’ve been trying to get better at Photoshop stuff. I don’t know, I just don’t have the patience/talent for it, but I do try. Last night as we were winding down for the night, I was playing with shadows and stuff and I snapped a picture of Aldwyn and me. Then I photoshopped the SHIT out of it. Someone else could have done more, I think, but I used all my minimal skills to try to make it pretty. This is the unedited shot:

Maybe one day I’ll get better at making everything all smooth and pretty. I see some of the work my Flickr contacts do and it is oh my God amazing. I want to ask “How did you DO that?!” but somehow I don’t think that all of them would be willing to sit and teach someone who can barely use the curves function in Photoshop. If anyone knows any good tutorials [I like video tutorials a lot], please pass them on. It would be much appreciated!

Oh. And if you think Aldwyn and I are always sitting around, gazing at each other… it’s not true. Sometimes he attempts to run me down with a bus.

Seriously – who WOULDN’T want to live on Bluebonnet with all this fun that goes on!?

Language is the source of misunderstandings.

There’s been a lot of talking lately. Oh, don’t get me wrong. I like to talk. And in a place like Second Life, sometimes that’s all we CAN do. But once in a while, I think there’s too MUCH talking. Sometimes it’s better to just hold your tongue and let things fall the way they will.

That being said, a long time ago, I used to do posts of pictures I found while cleaning off my desktop. I take pics a LOT in SL. Maybe not as many as I used to, due to the crashing issue I seem to have if I take more than 5 or 6 photos in a session, but I still take quite a bit. I was clearing off the desktop and found some pics to share. 🙂

This picture of Aldwyn and me makes me laugh! We were just sitting and I doubt he was even looking in world, but every time his hand came up, it made me think he was choking me. Heck, I’m such a brat, he may actually want to sometimes!

We’ve been in this pose before, and it’s a sweet one in the right angle. In this one, I look like I’m saying, “You’re going to listen to me, mister, and listen good!”

I caught this photo of Ulaa when we were out on her parcel. I was playing around with the Kirsten viewer that night to get shadows and stuff. I think it’s cute. No, I don’t know why she’s in the snow in a skimpy dress.

We were out at a sim where they sell a lot of stuff for kids. Forgive me, but I totally blanked out on the name of the sim. It’s super cute, though!

These are mean snowmen! They are tossing around the head of the other one! Guess they never heard of the Pink Shirt Day. I don’t know who made this, but it’s pretty funny.

Love is when you show up wearing antlers and a red Rudolph nose, and your boyfriend STILL thinks you’re totally gorgeous.

I picked this Santa Snuggle Bunny out at the Albero fair. Adorable! I love things that I can hold or hug.

Well, that’s it for now! This is why this blog will never be on any feeds. Who the heck really wants to be scrolling through eleventy million pictures? At least if you guys come here, there’s a chance you don’t mind doing it. Maybe. 🙂

I haven’t been doing very well on my blogging every day thing, huh? LOL! But I have been trying! I’ve just been busily hanging out with my new guy and I’ve just been having a lot of fun. 🙂

After all, who else would let me build a very preppy colored house around them while they cook dinner?

Or make prehistoric porn before my very eyes??

Even though I love my house and will keep it up, we’re moving into another fabulous house that I picked up from Xstreet a few weeks ago. 🙂

I love this house and have SO wanted to use it, but I didn’t really have a use for it, and any skyboxes I have, I usually stick to the lower prim one room kind to decorate. But now we can use this because it’s home. 🙂 Well…home with no furniture. LOL

How we’ll decorate, I have no idea.

I guess I should get back up on the posestand. I’ve got blog pics to take. As much as I love my new wacom, it’s a lot slower for me to use it rather than use the mouse. But the effect is better on my face, so I guess I should just suck it up and learn how to use it more efficiently. One day! 🙂

Spring is coming, bring on the dresses!

Almost a couple of months ago, I was hunting tattoos when my friend Gahum said to look up Nardya Rousselot’s shop. I did and while I didn’t find tattoos I wanted, I saw a beautiful gown that I must have stood in front of for 20 minutes just fawning over the picture. I didn’t have a need for the dress, but I made a note in my head to come back and fawn over it again at some point.

Well, notes in my head almost never work and I am the worst at keeping landmarks. Seriously, ask any of my friends. They ask me where I got something and if I have a LM and 9 times out of 10, I don’t. So when I thought about the dress again, I knew there would probably be no way I could find it without help. I didn’t have the LM, I couldn’t remember what store it was, or who the designer was. I couldn’t even remember who had pointed me to that shop in the first place. I know, totally helpful. 🙂 Luckily, Gahum came to my rescue yet again and mentioned Nardya’s name. Sure enough, it was the place! But not really the place I’d been before – a bigger and better place!

Nardya’s store, Nardcotix, is fabulous. Seriously, just beautiful classy clothing that I drooooool over. The store is in the Einstein shopping area, home of Nardcotix, Chloe, LionSkins, The Gift, AlienBear, and Phoenix Rising. Great shopping area, it really is.

Happily, I joined their Subscribe-o and was excited to see a new dress out – the Colleen.

This dress is just so freaking adorable, and had I been thinking clearly, I would have bought the bolero that goes with it. But I love the low back because it shows off my back tattoos perfectly, and the soft wrinkles fall just where they should. But the skirt is my favorite because not only does it make me feel like I have pretty flower petals around me, it’s actually in 3 parts, and when you sit the whole thing doesn’t immediately just fall down into your seat like other prim skirts do. All in all, it’s an amazing piece of work and I love it SO much!

The Colleen comes in 5 colors. You can purchase just the dress, as I did, for $350L, or the dress with the matching bolero for $525L. If you want just the bolero, they are $300L each. Nardcotix also offers a gift option, if you want to buy for the lady in your life. Or the man, if that’s how they roll.

I see myself going back at some point this week to get another dress, and I almost never get the same outfit just in different colors. If there was a fatpack, I’d probably buy it, that’s how much I love this dress.

Head out to Einstein and do some shopping and admire the build. It’s really great!

Hey little girl, want some candy?

I don’t dress very cutesy very often. I’m really more of a jeans and t-shirts type of girl in my outside life, and that’s pretty much how I roll here in SL. And let’s face it, my adorable friends Sai & Aisuru do the cute doll look waaaaay better than I ever could.

But today I was out at the Albero shopping area [omg, how CUTE is that place?] when I stumbled upon the Sweets Princess dress by Love Soul. After standing there debating, and conferring with my buddies, I knew I simply had to have it. In pink. Glowing poofy princess pink. And next to it was a hair designed just for this dress by Love Soul & Junwave, and I just had to have it too. SL is the only place where you can have ice cream and donuts hanging off your dress and not look like a complete slob.

So here it is – my super cutesy sugary sweet look of the day.

I’ll give you a toothache. :-p

This adorable dress came with the legwarmers and shoes, too!! PLUS some prim nails, which I put on just for pictures, but I won’t wear because they take my rings off.

The Sweets Princess dress is a complete steal at $200L and there are 6 colors. You can also get the fatpack for $1100L. The hair is $180L and comes with the decorated and the non-decorated versions. I’m wearing the pigtails, but there’s another style too that is more wild. Well, wild in my view, but I don’t go crazy with my hair much. 🙂
