Look in my house!

Hey everyone! So after my last blog post, I’ve been feeling a LOT better. I’ve been making more videos and after a ton of people requested it, I finally got our new house tour video finished!

It is 21 minutes of me talking and showing the house. I TRIED to get it as short as possible but well, there’s a lot of house. I actually recorded for 45 minutes! I edit for you! LOL!

But I do want to thank everyone who reached out to me after my last blog post. If there is one thing that many SLers know about, it’s the depression struggle. You all are much loved and much appreciated by me. ♥

Day 81 – Time To Get Groovin’

Woot woot! We have a house again! Ulaa finished up her house for the upcoming Culture Shock event and passed it over to me this afternoon. It’s adorable!

Day 81 - Time To Get Groovin'

I’ll show more pictures as it gets decorated!

It’s been a while since I’ve decorated a house. I need to get back in that decorating groove. I threw a few beds out to see which one I want to use but I kept getting distracted. Of course, I don’t know if we’ll be in this one too long. She has another house that she’s been working on, and well…I might like that one better.

Do you ever feel like you should be more immersed in SL? I mean, not spend more time there or anything, but just be more immersed in it when you have time to be there? I have some friends on plurk that are very much immersed in it. Not in the “I’m RPing a scary vampire in the middle of a crack house” thing. But more of a hanging out and really having a SECOND life thing. They go out, they do movies together, they have meals together. There’s even a little restaurant where you can go and pay to have a meal with your friends and family, which sounds so flippin’ cute I don’t even know what to think. I just feel like I should do more with my time in SL than just stand around staring at myself.

I dunno. I’m just talking. And procrastinating on getting the house decorated. :-p

A woman’s work is never done!

I’m taking a break from all the moving in work!

Moving in is tiring

Progress on the house is coming along. It’s funny, but you never realize how much stuff you have until you really start unpacking. So far today I’ve gotten work done on our bedroom, the guest room, the kitchen, the dining room, and the study. Plus I laid paths, planted trees, and moved mountains. Oh, and washed dishes.

Shoulda rolled up my sleeves

I probably should have rolled up my sleeves before I got started. I hate wet cuffs.

By the way, do you think my butt is getting bigger? I feel like I’ve gained weight since the wedding. Probably because I’ve caught my man now and I don’t have to worry about it anymore, huh? Woo!

But all this exercise with the housework has GOT to burn some calories. I got on my nifty little scale that I picked up at the old Linden Lifestyles HQ back in the day and it said that I’m 127 pounds. So I probably burned off at least 100 calories raking leaves today! At least!

A woman's work is never done!!

I really should get back to work. I took some time off earlier to set up our computer desks, since I know Aldwyn won’t be comfortable without a computer. [Okay, and neither will I.] I’m sure he’ll be very happy to come home from work today and be able to relax and read Drudge Report and…

I had NOTHING to do with it.

Ummm…. Yeah, that was like that when I put it out.

Our house!

Yay! Our new house was finished tonight!

House!!!

It’s a LOT of house! But if you have a good sized parcel and many prims available, like we do, then it’s not so very bad at all. The trick will be decorating in both our styles, not just mine. Of course, Aldwyn is fairly easy going [except for the whole yellow thing] and he will most likely be okay with what I want to do. After all, who do you think decorated his entire beach house? :-p

What’s really fun is that we received all kinds of household goodies and giftcards to furniture stores for wedding gifts. Using some of what we got is going to be great, because it will just remind us of our wonderful friends who shared in our day with us. 🙂 I’ve already put up a wall decal, coffee machine, and picture frame that were gifts from friends.

As much as I want to decorate the inside of the house, I am probably more excited about landscaping! Autumn is really my favorite time of the year to decorate [maybe even more than Christmas!] and I can’t wait to pull out all the pumpkins and hay bales! Usually I get all kinds of fancy for Halloween, too, and put up a haunted house and stuff. But I don’t know if I’ll do that this year. Maybe. We’ll see.

Heck, between the house and all my decorating, I don’t even know if there will be prims for a haunted house!

But then again, I am a whiz at decorating pretty low prim, so I guess we’ll see how it goes. For now, it’s bedtime.
