I’m dancing out the last few hours of the weekend.

Earlier today, Sophia asked me to be in a picture with her for the “Bloggers We Love” challenge that’s going on. If you haven’t heard about it, it’s mostly a fashion blog thing, although I’d love to see more of the non-fashion bloggers do it too. You pick a blogger that you like, whether you’re friends or not, and do a post with them. Her post about me was pretty damn sweet, so you should go read it and see the pictures.

But this is the picture I caught while we were posing.

This is probably why I’ll never be considered a real fashionista or a top fashion blogger, huh?

It occurred to me while she was doing our pics that I so rarely take photos with people anymore. And even more rare, I don’t take advantage of my eleventy billion couples/friends poses. I should have so many pictures of me with the ones I love best, and I don’t. I really need to change that.

I jumped on the bandwagon last night and got some KittycatS. You guys have probably seen them all over the feeds lately. I wasn’t going to do it, but I am a total cat lover, and the fact that you can just keep them as a pet and not breed them really hooked me. So I ended up with two babies last night – Griffin and Sabine.

Griffin is the dark male, Sabine is the white female. I don’t really know about the breeds or anything, but I know Sabine is a Diamond, which sounds pretty good to me. I’m not going to let them breed, although I am KIND of tempted. But the last thing I need to do is get into breeding these and have 84,000 cats running around. I just want pets. I kind of wish one of them would have been orange and white, though.

Day 241 – Normal

Just another normal evening at home.

Day 227 – The look of judgey judging

I meant to do a lot of things for Sunday. Blogging, cleaning… I have plans to redecorate my physical world bedroom [soooo much easier to redecorate in SL!] but it’s going to require quite a bit of cleaning and moving things around and quite frankly, I’m not down with it. But, instead, I spent time with my penguin, my wifey, and my chubby hubby.

Soph and I sat around on Callie’s bobblehead that I picked up a long time ago [SL5B, if I’m not mistaken] and I’d left on her porch. I like to leave the Bluebonnet renters gifts from time to time. They usually make me take them back. I don’t know why.

Ulaa and I headed out to do the Good Shit Hunt. Well, I’d done it already before she had logged in, but I went around with her again. When you do hunts, you usually run into the same people. This girl had clicky clacky shoes. We judge, yo. We judge.

Oh. I just realized I forgot to get pics of the chubhub. Sorry!

Ulaa just told me about a bag, so I’m off to go pick it up before I head to bed!

Day 163 – I think it’s fly when girls stop by for the summer

I’m a summer girl. Always have been, always will be. I love the sunshine, the heat, everything! As most of my friends can tell you, I’m different when it’s cold, or gray, or rainy. So to say I’m excited for the summer is an understatement.

I’m DOUBLE excited for this summer because some great things are already being planned! Like… I’m going to meet up with Sophia in Austin this summer!! Squeeee! It’s going to be SO FUN to finally hang out with her!! We were thinking too that if any of our SL friends are in the area, maybe we could all meet up for dinner or something. 😀

And tonight I was hanging out with my best friend of 15 years [pedicures & shopping, baby!] and we decided that we’re going on a road trip this summer to celebrate our birthdays. Colorado, here we come! So if anyone is around the Denver area, or is somewhere along the way, and would like to meet up, we’d love it!

Also, I think I’m going on a trip to New Mexico with some family in June, but that’s really tentative.

This summer just seems full of fun and excitement. I can’t wait!!

Day 155 – A little of this and that

Hahahaha! I always knew one day it would happen!

Don’t get any ideas. 🙂 We’re just joking around.

Earlier today I went out to a mall to look for a shirt, and ran into Strawberry Singh. Isn’t she gorgeous? I look really pale next to her. LOL

Is anyone else having issues taking pictures of water using Viewer 2.0? I had my settings up to ultra and it’s just… not good.

With or without water reflections, it comes out all crazy. However, it only looks like that in photos, never in world. It looks gorgeous in world. The water is the only thing I hate about 2.0 photos, and it is kind of a big deal to me.

I just sneezed 3 times in a row. I think that means this post is finished.

Oh, guess what?

About 2 years ago, I was working at a club called Liquid Rage and an IM with a gift popped up out of nowhere. I didn’t know the person IMing me, but I had just started getting a few more readers and random IMs weren’t unusual. The girl told me that she’d read how I had been having kind of a bad day, and she wanted to give me a gift because she enjoyed my blog. She also went on to tell me a few other things about herself – more than most people usually did at that time.

She would IM me, once in a while, almost always when she thought my posts sounded sad, and almost always to drop something sweet on me. That’s just the kind of person she is – generous. I didn’t add her to my friends list. I don’t know why, but I just didn’t. There was something a little too strong about her personality that I wasn’t quite ready for. I started to think of her as my angel, though. The one who just popped up in the hard times to put a smile on my face.

I didn’t hear from her for a few months, months that I know now that she was battling something terrible. She happened to come back around the time I really needed a friend. One night she needed to teleport me over, and that’s how she ended up on my friends list. And once she was there, I couldn’t imagine a time when she wasn’t.

Do you know who I’m talking about? Of course you do! It’s none other than my best friend, Sophia Harlow! And guess what?

So happy birthday to my best friend, the yin to my yang, the Melina to my Lida, the loca with the gassiest pugs around. I love you muchly!!

Day 108 – I wish I’d find these on the steps more often.

This is my new friend. I found him sitting on my front steps. He’s pretty hot, huh?

His name is Sophia.

LMAO!!

I’ve already made her promise me that should I find a man and his shape is not exactly up to par, she’ll give him that one.

I’m so exhausted tonight. I visited with my mom today, she’s doing better, and asked that I thank all of you who sent prayers and good thoughts our way. We both believe that it helps a lot more than most of the medications they pump into her.

I have a blogpost in my head, but this is enough for tonight. I’m too tired. lol

Day 67 – Haven’t even changed clothes

I’ve been almost completely engrossed in the game today. So much so, in fact, that I haven’t changed my clothes in SL for 24 hours. Unheard of! But I did get to spend some time with Sophia today.

I’m going back to the game now. 🙂

Day 60 – Sophia’s Challenge

So my hetero life partner Sophia plurked a challenge. Show what you used to look like versus what you look like now. She never really said noob, just what we used to look like. I thought I’d just go back in my blog and pick the first picture and call it a day. But I realized that I still had an “emergency” folder in my inventory from March 2008. Cen and I used to make emergency folders because we used to regularly change avatars and we needed something that we could always go back to quickly. So I realized that THIS folder was really how I used to look – the normal skin, shape, style of clothes, etc. I popped into it, cried, took a picture, and then popped into one of my outfit folders that I created last week.

It’s amazing what a good skin will do. lol

Yikes.

And that’s day 60 of the 365 day challenge as well! Only 305 more days to go! LOL!!
